Installing a Subscription on a Network
Installing an FX MathPack or FX SciencePack subscription does not need to create a large workload for system administrators.
Installing Products on Networked Computers
The FX MathPack and FX SciencePack installers support a number of command line switches that can greatly assist in network installations.
You can find more information about the available command line switches in the Silent Installations / Installer Command Line Options support document.
Once the product has been on your network computers, the second task is to unlock the installed packs.
Step 1 - Subscribing on One Computer
You will need to subscribe one computer before subscribing all computers on your network. There are a few ways of
entering your subscription information.
When you install copy of FX MathPack or FX SciencePack, you will be asked for subscription information during installation.
Alternatively, you can choose Register from the Help menu of any of the products included in the pack. You only need to enter your new subscription
information into one of the products - the information will automatically be available for other products in the pack.
Your subscription information will be written to a file in the Efofex Program Files directory on your computer. This file will normally be
C:\Program Files\Efofex\FXMathsSub.ini
or
C:\Program Files\Efofex\FXScienceSub.ini
Step 2 - Subscribing on Multiple Computers
You can subscribe any other computer by copying the FXMathsSub.ini or FXScienceSub.ini file to the Efofex Program Files directory on the new computer.
No other action is required.
If FX MathPack / FX SciencePack are run from a network share, computers do not need to be individually registered.
