Hint buttons are a customized version of the more generic Show/Hide button. Show/Hide buttons are discussed in Show/Hide Buttons
Hints are text boxes that are hidden behind a button. Adding a hint adds both a text box and preformatted Hint button.
Any text entered in the text box will initially not be displayed on the page but can be displayed (by the user) by pushing the hint button. This permits you to provide some guidance to your students in a way that allows them to choose whether to show it.
Changing the Formatting of a Hint
Right-clicking on the Hint button allows you to change the Hint's properties.
